American Artist Chisum Miles Justus is native to the Llano Estacado Plains of West Texas, where working the land was a means of living. This would later lend inspiration to the forms present in his work. Chisum works in a cross-disciplinary mode, producing work that straddles the barriers which typically divide Painting and Sculptural practice. In 2008 he received his Bachelors in Fine Arts in Painting from Texas Tech University in Lubbock Texas. In 2011, he received his Masters of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. He taught at the University of Florida, Gainesville and Flagler College, St. Augustine during his stay in Florida. He currently works and resides in Lubbock Texas where he teaches Drawing & Design at Texas Tech University.
